Stitches – Postmortem

Stitches was a video game made during the summer of 2019 spanning a 3 month development period. Through many ups and downs, the team managed to turn out a solid demo that displayed the overall gameplay loop and the general visual style. While we are proud of the work we did as a whole, the actual process for developing Stitches was a very rocky one for quite some time.
End of the Road
UncategorizedIt’s been a really long journey, but we’re finally at the end of development.
Stitches as an overall project has been an incredible learning experience for me. As the Product Owner, I’ve had to really adapt and adjust my general workflow in order to take on all of the new responsibilities that come with the role.

It’s been a good chunk of time since I last posted. We’ve been hard at work trying to really push out a solid puzzle game that totally isn’t a Rubix Cube. Looking back, the last time I posted was just around a month ago which was the end of our rapid prototyping phase. We’ve come a long way since then, both as a team and as individuals.

We’ve finally reached the point where rapid prototyping has ended, in some ways it’s a really nice weight off of my shoulders but in others it’s actually caused some issues with me making sure to keep up with my work in this so called “off time”.
